Ruslana and Taisiya Bazaliy were born in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

 

At the age of 14, they moved to Canada to study the art of trapeze at Cirque du Soleil in Montreal, and at the age of 16 they started working with Cirque du Soleil show called Saltimbanco.

 

They toured the world with Cirque du Soleil until 2011 when they decided it was time for them to create something of their own. The sisters went to Canada to train with world famous coach Viktor Fomin. Together they created a new swinging trapeze act with which they competed in the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris in 2012. They won the Silver Medal and a Special Prize from the Chinese Acrobatic Association.

 

In the summer of 2012, Ruslana and Taisiya performed their new act in Les Chemins Invisibles, a special event summer production of Cirque Du Soleil in Quebec City.

Later that same year, they went on to join the creation of the show “Le Noir”, that was created in Tokyo, Japan, which later went on to tour in Singapore and China.

Ruslana and Taisiya continued working and performing in various productions with 45 Degrees, a special event company from Cirque du Soleil.

 

In August 2014 they joined the team for creation of a new Cirque Du Soleil production called JOYA in Riviera Maya, Mexico, where they performed until 2016.

 

From the year 2016 to 2018 the sisters worked in the The One Grand Show that played on Europe’s largest stage in Friedrichstadt Palast in Berlin, Germany.

After that the sisters also worked and performed with shows such as Feuerwerk der Turnkunst, Palazzo and Unterwegs Varieté in Germany.

 

Since 2021 the sisters have worked and renewed their swinging trapeze act with which they competed at various festivals.

In the summer of 2022 Ruslana and Taisiya are joining the cast of Flic Flac in Duisburg, Germany with their outstanding duo swinging trapeze act.
